Oatmeal Cookies


1/2 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Egg Whites
1 tsp Vanilla
1 Cup Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 Cup Rolled Oats

Cream shortening and brown sugar. Add egg whites and vanilla. Mix well. Sift together flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in rolled oats. Drop from spoonful onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until edges of cookies start to brown. Cool and eat!
